NHL Rumors: Canucks' Forward Given Permission To Talk To Other Teams
Brock Boeser was set to be a healthy scratch against the Arizona Coyotes after Bruce Boudreau described the decision as tough love. Later that day Dakota Joshua appeared to have suffered a minor injury, per Elliotte Freidman, and Boeser was inserted into the lineup. He ended up scoring the game-tying goal, but it shouldn't change much in the decision to keep or trade him.
Friedman revealed on Hockey Night in Canada that from what he understands, Boeser's representatives have been given permission to talk to other teams about a potential move. The forward has struggled this season with just four goals and a minus-13 plus/minus in 19 games. Though he has registered 15 points, his defensive game has been lacking.

At this point it seems as though the Vancouver Canucks are thinking it's time to finally explore this. They would like to switch things up and maybe just get a few new bodies on the team to change the direction a bit. Trading Boeser would free up a good amount of cap space to work with.
These rumors haven't been confirmed by Boeser's representatives or the team yet, but we'll see where things go.
