NHL Rumors: Chicago Blackhawks & Ottawa Senators Talked Big Trade

During his most recent 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman reported that the Ottawa Senators called the Chicago Blackhawks about Seth Jones.

The Senators could certainly use a defenseman like Jones in their group, so it makes sense that they have expressed interest in him. However, these talks of course did not lead to a trade coming to fruition.

As the season progresses and we get closer to the deadline, perhaps things could change on that front. Jones is one of the Blackhawks' most valuable trading assets, so perhaps they will be more open to the idea of moving at the deadline. Alas, time will tell on that front, but don't be surprised to hear the Senators try to acquire him again from here.
