NHL Rumors: San Jose Sharks Winger to be Shopped

The San Jose Sharks are open for business and players like Erik Karlsson, Timo Meier, and Logan Couture have been in the rumor mill because of it. However, another Shark who could end up being on the move this trade deadline is Alexander Barabanov.

Barabanov inked a two-year, $5 million deal to remain with the Sharks this offseason, but now that San Jose has a new GM with Mike Grier in charge, we could see the 28-year-old winger moved for the right price. There's no question that he would get San Jose a strong return in a move, as he is once again having a very good season. After recording 39 points in 70 games last season, he currently has three goals and 15 points in 22 contests.
