St Louis Blues Coach Calls Out Jordan Binnington
St Louis Blues head coach Craig Berube is sick and tired of goaltender Jordan Binnington's antics. The loose cannon of a netminder has had a tough week, which escalated on Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Binnington was assessed a 10-minute misconduct early in the second period of Saturday's game after getting pulled once he allowed the fourth goal of the evening. As Binnington was making his way to the Blues bench, he had some words for the Penguins bench, leading to the misconduct.
Binnington was in a battle all night with Penguins forward Jason Zucker and the two went back and forth on jabs throughout the game. Zucker getting the last laugh in the second period, scoring the goal which led the Blues netminder to his own bench.
Berube has seen enough, and after the game had some choice words for his hot-headed goaltender who has a 9-10-0 record and a .895 Sv.%:
It's got to stop. It doesn’t help anything. Just play goal. Stop the puck.
Craig Berube says he wasn't happy with Jordan Binnington showing his frustration and getting a 10-minute misconduct for inciting: "It's got to stop. That doesn't help anything. ... Just play goal, stop the puck." #stlblues pic.twitter.com/2LThtzXrJI

Needless to say, if things don't change, expect the Blues to give Thomas Greiss some more playing time.
