St. Louis Blues Defenseman Placed on LTIR

The St. Louis Blues have placed Torey Krug on long-term injured reserve due to a lower-body injury. 

This is certainly bad news for a Blues team that is currently trying to get back into the playoff race. Krug is their top offensive defenseman, so his absence will surely be noticeable. In 31 games this season, the 5-foot-9 defenseman has five goals to go along with 17 points. 

In response to Krug's LTIR placement, the Blues have called up Tyler Tucker to their NHL roster. In four games with the Blues this season, the 22-year-old defenseman has zero points and an even rating.
