Toronto Maple Leafs Make Roster Move
The Toronto Maple Leafs have sent Semyon Der-Arguchintsev back down to the Toronto Marlies.
Der-Arguchintsev has appeared in one game for the Maple Leafs since being called up, where he had a plus-1 rating. This was the 22-year-old forward's NHL debut, but now he is heading right back to the Marlies. The AHL squad will be ecstatic to have the 2018 third-round pick back, as he has 18 points in 20 games for them this campaign.
This move could be an indicator that the Leafs may be getting T.J. Brodie back. This would be huge for them when noting that they are dealing with multiple injuries on their blue line. Alas, we will have to wait and see if the veteran returns to the lineup following this Der-Arguchintsev demotion.
