Vancouver Canucks Given Brutal Injury News
The Vancouver Canucks' nightmare 2022-23 season just got worse, as goaltender Thatcher Demko will be out for the next six weeks. This comes after he left Vancouver's last contest early with an injury.
Although Demko has had his clear struggles this season, there's also no question that Vancouver is going to miss him while out. The Canucks are desperately trying to get back into the playoff hunt, but now that sizeable task has gotten worse with their starting netminder sidelined for several weeks.
Demko showed just last season that he has the tools to be an elite goaltender, but, unfortunately, this campaign has been full of struggles for the 6-foot-4 netminder. In 15 appearances, he has a 3-10-2 record to go along with an .883 SV%. Here's to hoping he has a speedy recovery and bounces back once he is healthy from there.
