Video: Flames Coach Can't Stand the Refs in Toronto
Calgary Flames head coach Darryl Sutter was signing the Toronto Maple Leafs praise before their matchup on Saturday night, calling the Leafs the NHL's best team at the moment. After the Flames 5-4 overtime loss in Toronto, Sutter turned his attention to the refs.
Admittedly, the Leafs/Flames game was hard to watch. The refs were so bad and inconsistent and they kept taking away from the flow of the game. This was a story Sutter has seen over and over again and after the game he had this to say about the officiating:
“That’s one thing I learned a long time ago — when you’re in Chicago all those years and you come into Toronto, you know what goes on. I won’t say nothing more.” -Darryl Sutter #Flames fans... after taking 7 penalties against the Leafs, do you agree with the coach? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/EFWr007HVK
