3 Potential Landing Spots for Canucks' Captain Bo Horvat
The Bo Horvat sweepstakes continue as we flip the calendar into 2023. The Vancouver Canucks captain is still a main stay on top of many trade lists and appears to be on his way out of town before the March 3 trade deadline. Here's the latest on favorites to land Horvat from the Canucks:
Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche are the heavy favorites but do not want to give up Alex Newhook in the deal. It's likely they will move Samuel Girard to Vancouver in this trade but would rather send a slew of prospects and picks instead of two players off their current roster.
Boston Bruins
The Bruins are a dark horse team on a lot of the big name forwards on the trade market. They have a hole to fill in their top-six and are looking at either Horvat or potentially Patrick Kane as options. Considering how good the Bruins already are, adding a star forward to their mix is going to be scary for other teams trying to come out of Eastern Conference.
Elliotte Friedman on Bo Horvat : I am not saying no but the Canucks have set a limit, Horvat is going to have to take a haircut on what he could get on market.

It is going to take an unbelievable offer from VAN and I do not see it.
Washington Capitals
The Capitals are locked in on adding to their top two lines and could really use another center. Horvat fits the bill and with his $5.5 million salary is reasonably easy to fit under the cap come trade deadline. The Capitals are going all in this season and plan on swinging for the fences. Horvat would be a home run in Washington.
