3 Potential Landing Spots for Panthers' Sam Reinhart
The Florida Panthers are a team to watch leading up to the NHL trade deadline March 3. General manager Bill Zito is trying to unload some of the Panthers expensive contracts to free up some money for next summer. While there's been trade rumblings regarding the injured Anthony Duclair and forward Sam Bennett, another Panther to watch is Sam Reinhart. Here's three potential destinations for a Reinhart trade:
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers will need a third-party broker to finalize essentially all of their trades, however the Arizona Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks have both made it known they are willing to do so. Reinhart would look great in the Oilers top six and the Panthers could create a ton of cap space offloading his $6.5 million for the rest of this season and next.
Calgary Flames
Reinhart would be a great fit for the Flames as they have been looking for a top-six winger for months. Money is an issue, as it is for most teams in the league this season. The Flames package would be centered around a first-round pick and prospects, and considering these two teams now have quite the trade history, it could repeat itself before March 3.

Seattle Kraken
The Panthers are looking for future assets and the Kraken have a ton of draft picks to use. Seattle has three 2023 second-round picks to dangle and have over $5 million in deadline cap space to use. Morgan Geekie could be the forward in play here to finalize a deal between the two clubs.
