Boston Bruins Key Defenseman Leaves Game Injured
During Thursday’s (Jan. 19) 3-1 win against the New Rangers, Boston Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo left the game early injured after blocking a shot by Mika Zibanejad.
The Bruins announced that Carlo suffered a lower-body injury on the play, but his specific injury or an estimated recovery timeline has not been determined at the time of this writing. Given Carlo’s importance to the Bruins, they will be hoping that this is nothing more than a short-term ailment.
Carlo is one of the Bruins’ top defensive due to his immensely reliable defensive play. As a result, if he is forced to miss a good chunk of time, it’ll be immensely difficult for the Bruins to replace him. Alas, here’s to hoping it is nothing too serious from here.
