Boston Bruins Make Roster Move
The Boston Bruins have made a roster move before their back-to-back contests against the New York Islanders and New York Rangers. Joona Koppanen has gotten called back up to the NHL squad after recently being demoted.
Koppanen appeared in his first NHL game in Boston's loss to the Seattle Kraken last week but was immediately sent down following it. Yet, now the 24-year-old is getting another shot with Boston, and he will be aiming to make a big impact in the process. After all, there is a fourth-line spot potentially up for grabs, as players like Craig Smith and A.J. Greer have had their struggles in the role this season.
We will have to wait and see how Koppanen responds to receiving this call-up from here. In 36 games this season with the Providence Bruins, the big-bodied forward has six goals and 20 points.
