Buffalo Sabres Make Roster Moves
The Buffalo Sabres have made some roster moves worth addressing. Eric Comrie has been activated off of injured reserve, as he has finished his conditioning stint with the Rochester Americans. As a result of this development, fellow netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has been sent back down to the Americans.
Comrie has been out of action for six weeks for the Sabres, but now he is finally set to return. Before getting injured, the Sabres' offseason acquisition was off to a rather poor start to the year. In 11 appearances thus far, he has a 4-7-0 record, a 3.62 goals-against average, and a .887 save percentage. That is certainly not what the Sabres expected of him when they brought him in, but let's see if he can heat up from here.
Pekka Luukonen, on the other hand, has appeared in a career-high 13 games for Buffalo this year. So far, he has had mixed results at the NHL level, but he has managed to secure plenty of wins. With his 9-3-1 record, he also sports a 3.57 goals-against average and an underwhelming .891 save percentage. Let's see how he responds to this demotion from here.
