Florida Panthers to Terminate Forward's Contract
The Florida Panthers have placed Anton Levtchi on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination.
The Panthers quietly signed Levtchi this past offseason after he recorded a 61-point campaign in 55 games with Tappara of Liiga. From there, he appeared in two games with the Panthers this season, where he was held off the scoresheet. Instead, he was primarily with the Charlotte Checkers, where he had eight goals and 17 points in 35 games. Overall, his strong offensive production overseas did not translate over to North America.
This contract termination is likely because Levtchi has found another playing opportunity to return overseas. Nevertheless, we here at NHLTR wish him luck on his future endeavors.
