Flyers Ivan Provorov Addresses Ongoing Trade Rumors
Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov has found his name pasted all over trade rumors this season. The 25-year-old blueliner is used to tough media in Philly, however this season has been much different as the losses continue to pile up and the trade buzz has been louder than ever before.
Provorov didn't shy away from the noise recently, as he spoke to Sam Carchidi of Philly Hockey Now and had this to say:
Their job is to talk, my job is to play. I'm not changing anything about my preparation or my thinking. I'm here to play and compete every game. I've been here for seven years. It's the team I got drafted by. I'm a loyal player. I want to do my best every game and help the team win any way I can. We've had a couple good years and a couple not-so-good years. I've been here for pretty much everything, so it would be good to see another time when the team is playing great.
The Flyers continue to hover around the basement of the NHL and appear set to be in the NHL Draft Lottery for blue-chip prospect Connor Bedard. Meanwhile Provorov has been linked to the Winnipeg Jets and could find himself on the way out of Philly before the March 3 trade deadline.
