Golden Knights Get Huge Boost Ahead of Penguins Matchup
The Vegas Golden Knights will play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night and look for star forward Jack Eichel to return to the lineup. Eichel has missed the past 11 games with a lower-body injury.
The Golden Knights forward returned to practice this week and looks like his health scare is behind him and he's back to full strength. Eichel sits third on the team with 29 points, including 13 goals in the 27 appearances he's made in 2022-23.
Vegas hasn't slowed down one bit, even with Eichel out as the team sits atop the Western Conference with a record of 26-12-2. They've been on fire of late, with a record of 4-1-1 in their past five games.
Eichel met with the media on Wednesday and had this to say ahead of his latest comeback:
It felt like I was out for a minute. But I thought it went pretty well. Obviously, tried to go against Philly, couldn't do it. It took a minute to figure out what was going on. We've had a good treatment plan since the beginning of December. You just got to be patient. It's something that doesn't get better overnight, so there have been days when you feel really good, some days where you don't feel as good as you did, but it's just part of the process. Just working to get out there and help the team win
