Los Angeles Kings Call Up Promising Prospect

The Los Angeles Kings have called up one of their notable prospects, as Jordan Spence is now with the NHL squad.

Due to the Kings’ depth on the right side, Spence has spent the majority of the season down in the AHL. Yet, many believe that the 21-year-old is ready to be a full-time defenseman at the NHL level due to his solid offensive ability and steady defensive play. Now that he has been called up, this is a grand opportunity for him to show the Kings just that.

Spence has been spectacular with the Ontario Reign this season, as he has recorded 22 points in 26 games from the point. This kind of production from a defenseman is always impressive to see at any level. Now, Spence will be aiming to translate some of this offensive success to the Kings from here. If this does in fact come to fruition, he could end up landing himself a permanent spot on the roster for the remainder of the year and onward.
