Montreal Canadiens Forward Sent Down to AHL
The Montreal Canadiens have made a minor roster move, as they have sent down Anthony Richard to the AHL.
Richard has been a fun story with the Canadiens this season, as the 26-year-old Quebec native has appeared in a career-high seven NHL games on the year, where he has a goal and an assist. However, with the Canadians utilizing him less as of late, it is not too surprising to see that Richard is now heading back to the Laval Rocket. He will now be aiming to impress in the AHL, as it could lead him to receive another call-up before the season is done.
The Rocket will be ecstatic to have Richard back in their lineup, as he was fantastic for them this campaign before his call-up. In 27 games played for the Rocket this year, he has an impressive 31 points. Let’s see how much these statistics go up from here
