Montreal Canadiens Given Brutal Injury News
The Montreal Canadiens have announced some truly horrible injury news. Cole Caufield will miss the rest of the 2022-23 season due to a shoulder injury that requires surgery.
There's no question that this is a notable blow for the Canadiens, as Caufield truly was having a fantastic season. In 46 games, he had an impressive 26 goals to go along with 36 points. Overall, the youngster was showing signs of being a true star, and now his impressive year has come to an early end.
The Canadiens have been dealing with serious injury trouble, as they already will be without 2022 first-overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky for the next three months. Now, another notable young player on their roster is out long-term. Alas, here's to hoping that Caufield has a speedy recovery and is good to go for the start of the 2023-24 campaign from here.
