Montreal Canadiens Make Roster Move

The Montreal Canadiens have been struggling significantly as of late, and they are looking for ways to help turn things around. As a result of this, they have made a call-up, as Jesse Ylonen is joining the NHL squad from the Laval Rocket.

Ylonen has yet to appear in an NHL game this season, but now that is set to change. The 23-year-old winger appeared in a career-high 14 games last season with Montreal, we had two goals to go along with five points. Overall, he provided some offense when called upon by the NHL squad, and now he will be looking to do the same thing during this latest call-up. If he does, perhaps it could open the door for him to secure himself a permanent spot on their NHL roster.

With Montreal being so low in the standings, they are in a position to take a chance on a young player like Ylonen. Let’s see if he can take the next step during this call-up and earn himself a role in Montreal's lineup for the remainder of the season.
