Montreal Canadiens Provide Injury Updates for Several Players
The Montreal Canadiens have provided injury updates regarding several of their forwards. Juraj Slafkovsky is likely done for the year, as he will be out for the next three months due to his lower-body injury. Jake Evans is also out long-term, as he is set to miss the next eight to ten weeks because of a lower-body injury. Meanwhile, both Jonathan Drouin and Joel Armia will be out for three weeks with their upper-body injuries.
With the Canadiens' playoff hopes already rather low, these injures certainly do not help their chances of having a complete turnaround during the second half of the season. Now their forward depth has been pretty decimated, and it will be intriguing to see which players end up getting more chances with these four players out.
Out of this quartet, the Slafkovsky news is of course the most notable, but it still stings that the other three are out for some time, too. Alas, let's see how this impact Montreal from here.
