New Jersey Devils Call Up Former First-Round Pick
The New Jersey Devils have called up Nolan Foote to their NHL roster.
Foote was one of the main pieces that the Devils acquired in the Blake Coleman trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning back in 2020. Since then, the 2019 first-round pick has had trouble cementing himself as a full-time NHL player, but he will be aiming to help his chances of changing that with solid play during this call-up from here.
When called upon, however, Foote has made an impact with the Devils. In 13 career NHL games, he has four goals, six points, and 13 hits. Overall, the potential for him to become a bottom-six forward is there, so let's see if he shows that a bit more this time around. In 33 games this campaign with the Utica Comets, he has 13 goals and 19 points.
