NHL Rumors: Anaheim Ducks Shopping Forward
The Anaheim Ducks are currently one of the worst teams in the NHL, so they are expected to be one of the biggest sellers of the deadline. Veterans like John Klingberg, Kevin Shattenkirk, Cam Fowler, and Adam Henrique are expected to be made available, but buzz is picking up that the Ducks are also open to moving Max Comtois.
Comtois came up as a trade target last season, but the Ducks opted to keep him around in hopes that he would find his previous form. Yet, it has been another year of struggles for the young forward, as he has just five goals and seven points in 32 games. This is certainly disappointing to see, as he had 33 points in 55 games back in 2020-2021.
There definitely could be teams interested in the idea of taking a chance on Comtois, as he has had past success in the NHL. Furthermore, he also plays a very physical game, so we could be a decent bottom-six forward for playoff teams to look at. Alas, we will have to wait and see if the Ducks decide to give up on the once top Prospect.
