NHL Rumors: Arizona Coyotes Winger Linked to Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning are once again looking like one of the top teams in the NHL, but even with this being the case, they are still likely to make some changes to the roster before the deadline passes. They primarily will be looking to add to their depth, and one player who can make sense for them because of this is Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Ritchie.

After a hot start to the season, Richie has cooled off a bit, but a change of scenery could help change things on that front. When looking at Tampa Bay's current roster, he could be a very strong addition to their bottom six. After all, he has shown over the last few years that he can be a decent secondary scorer while providing an immense amount of physicality in the process.

The Coyotes would likely have to retain some of Ritchie's salary to help this move come to fruition, but when noting that he is a pending unrestricted free agent, it is fair to assume that Arizona will not be against doing this. Alas, we will have to wait and see if Ritchie ends up going from Arizona to Tampa Bay from here.
