Nyquist, who is versatile to play either wing and can help a contending team when it comes to some secondary scoring, has appeared in 42 games this season, scoring eight goals and adding 10 assists.
Nyquist is 33 and currently makes $5.5 million against the cap in his last season of his contract. This is his third season in Columbus after a quick stop in San Jose following close to a decade with the Detroit Red Wings.
In 694 career NHL games, the versatile winger has recorded 419 points and has added 21 points in 65 Stanley Cup Playoff games. There's a number of teams looking to add some offense including the Washington Capitals, Calgary Flames and Seattle Kraken.
