NHL Rumors: Bo Horvat to Boston Bruins Heating Up
In a recent piece for Daily Faceoff, NHL insider Frank Seravalli wrote that the Boston Bruins could be "the ideal landing spot" for Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat.
Seravalli is not the first insider to link the Bruins to Horvat. Ultimately, it would make sense for the Bruins to try to add Horvat both for the present and the future. Horvat would be a perfect addition to the Bruins' top nine as they gear up for the playoffs. However, with Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci nearing the end of their careers, the Bruins are going to have serious issues at the center position later down the road. Yet, trading for and then signing Horvat to a long-term deal would be a way to help alleviate this issue.
Furthermore, with the Bruins looking to win the Stanley Cup this year, bringing in another star like Horvat could be exactly what takes them over the edge. With how deep the Eastern Conference is, no team is guaranteed to win, so the Bruins would be wise to make one more big move before the deadline passes. Let’s see if adding Horvat ends up being that blockbuster move for Boston.
