NHL Rumors: Buffalo Sabres Looking to Complete Blockbuster

After a hot stretch of play, the Buffalo Sabres are fighting their way back into the playoff hunt. Yet, it is clear that they could use another big move to help their chances of that coming to fruition. With San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier available, there's buzz that Buffalo is looking to add the star winger to their top six.

Meier would be a fantastic addition to Buffalo's already-strong offense, as he would give them excellent scoring and simply more star power. This, in turn, could lead the Sabres to catch up to other wild card teams and sneak their way into the postseason this spring.

With the Sabres looking to break their ridiculously long playoff drought, do not be surprised to see them make a blockbuster centering around Meier at the deadline.
