NHL Rumors: Chicago Blackhawks Forward Linked to Islanders
The New York Islanders are currently trying to keep up with their fellow Eastern Conference rivals. Overall, it has been a year of mixed results for them, and a major reason for their down moments has been their lack of scoring. As a result, the Islanders are expected to land at least one scoring winger at the trade deadline, and Max Domi is on their radar because of it.
Domi signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks this offseason, and he has been a real slam dunk for them since. As a result, there are multiple teams already showing interest in him, so the Islanders will have some competition if they want to successfully acquire the 2013 first-round pick.
Domi could be a great linemate for star center Mathew Barzal, but we will need to wait and see if the Islanders end up being the club that lands him before the deadline passes. On paper, there seems to be a wonderful fit here, so it is certainly something worth considering.
