NHL Rumors: Detroit Red Wings Star Becoming Trade Candidate
In a recent piece for Daily Faceoff, Frank Seravalli noted that the Detroit Red Wings’ poor play as of late will likely result in them being sellers at the trade deadline. Furthermore, he reported that if the Red Wings do in fact sell, pending UFA and Michigan native Dylan Larkin will likely be on the move.
If Larkin is officially made available by the Red Wings, there’s no question that there will be a plethora of interest in his services at the deadline. After all, he would easily become one of the top players on the trading block and would provide a serious upgrade for teams looking for a top-six center. If Larkin ends up not inking an extension by the deadline, the Red Wings will likely move him instead of risking the possibility of losing him for nothing.
It will be intriguing to see if the Red Wings end up moving Larkin at the deadline from here.
