NHL Rumors: Detroit Red Wings & Philadelphia Flyers Talking Trade

The Detroit Red Wings appear to be a team that will be selling a lot of their pending UFAs at the deadline. However, even though this is the case, we should not be surprised to see them aim to add players with term at the deadline as well. With Ivan Provorov available for the taking, there could be a great match here.

Although the Red Wings are on the rise, they are once again likely to miss the playoffs this campaign. A major reason behind this is their defensive group, but that is especially so when it comes to their left side. As a result, Provorov could be the perfect trade target for them. After all, he would immediately be their best left-shot defenseman if acquired.

With Provorov still being young, he could certainly be a good fit with the Red Wings. We will have to wait and see if Detroit ends up making a big push for him at the deadline from here.
