They have been linked to players like Vladislav Gavrikov, John Klingberg, and Joel Edmundson because of it, but now there's buzz that they have interest in another veteran - Anaheim Ducks defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk, as reported by The Fourth Period.

Shattenkirk is one of the many rental candidates from the Ducks who are expected to be moved before the deadline passes. It is understandable, as Anaheim's playoff chances are essentially zero, and Shattenkirk is the kind of veteran that playoff teams will make a push for.
