NHL Rumors: Florida Panthers & Arizona Coyotes Talking Blockbuster

The Florida Panthers have had a very underwhelming season and currently sit out of the playoff race because of it. This is certainly below expectations from them. It is clear that they need serious help on the blue line, and they are looking to get just that. According to The Fourth Period, they are one of the clubs currently linked to Arizona Coyotes star Jakob Chychrun.

The Coyotes have been shopping Chychrun since last season, but a move has yet to occur. Their asking price has been noted as being "too high" for some clubs, but when looking at how poorly Florida is playing this season, they may be desperate enough to make the biggest offer to Arizona for Chychrun.

Chychrun would provide the Panthers with a legitimate top-pairing defenseman to play along with fellow star Aaron Ekblad. Furthermore, Chychrun has multiple years left on his deal, so he would be far more than just a rental if acquired. Let's see if they end up landing him from here.
