NHL Rumors: Hurricanes Making Push for Blue Jackets Winger
Gustav Nyquist is one of the top rental candidates heading into this year’s trade deadline, and interest in his services is starting to skyrocket because of it. According to the Fourth Period, a new team has entered the picture, as the Carolina Hurricanes are expressing interest in the veteran winger.
The Hurricanes are likely to add at least one winger before the deadline, as Max Pacioretty is out for the rest of the season. As a result, it makes sense that they are considering the prospect of bringing in Nyquist, as he would provide a nice boost to their middle six. This is because he is still a quality point producer due to his excellent passing ability.
Teams around the league are going to make a push for Nyquist, so we will have to wait and see if the hurricanes end up being the lucky club to acquire him before the deadline passes from here.
