NHL Rumors: Insider Links Bruins Defenseman to Canucks

The Boston Bruins have been heavily linked to Vancouver Canucks star Bo Horvat as we get closer to the trade deadline. According to Rick Dhaliwal, Brandon Carlo could be a player who the Canucks would want from Boston in such a move.

It is easy to understand why the Canucks would want Carlo, as a major reason for their struggles has been their unreliable defensive group. Carlo would have the potential to help change that a bit, as he is a very effective defensive defenseman who is plenty capable of playing top-four minutes. As a result, it would make sense for the Canucks to have him on their radar.

Yet, with Carlo being such a major part of Boston’s blue line, there’s no guarantee that they would be willing to trade him. After all, this would create a big hole on the right side before the playoffs, but we will have to wait and see if he ends up being dealt Vancouver from here.
