NHL Rumors: Insider Links Coyotes Forward to Oilers

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Edmonton Oilers are one of the teams expressing interest in Nick Bjugstad from the Arizona Coyotes.

It certainly makes sense that the Oilers have Bjugstad on their radar. After all, it is apparent that they could use a significant boost to their bottom six, and the veteran forward could provide them with just that. The 30-year-old has quietly had a very good season with the Coyotes this year, as he has 11 goals and 21 points in 50 games. Furthermore, he also plays a physical game and is very solid defensively, so he is the perfect kind of rental for Edmonton to add.

Alas, we will need to wait and see if the Oilers' interest in Bjugstad results in them being the club to successfully acquire him before the trade deadline passes from here.
