In a recent episode of Daily Faceoff Live, NHL insider Frank Seravalli reported that the New York Rangers have San Jose Sharks star forward Timo Meier on the top of their trade targets list.

The Rangers' primary goal is to add a top-six winger at the deadline, and Meier is easily one of the best options to provide them with just that. Although the Blueshirts have long been linked to Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane, Meier may be a more realistic option for them due to his more affordable cap hit. As a result, it makes sense that they are stepping up their efforts to bring him in.
