NHL Rumors: Jets Forward Leaving to Join Canadiens
According to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet, the Winnipeg Jets have no chance of re-signing center Pierre-Luc Dubois and expect to see PLD sign with the Montreal Canadiens in two seasons.
Kypreos has linked Dubois to the Canadiens for a couple of seasons now and doubled down on his claim recently. The NHL alum was a guest on Tim and Friends and had this to say:
Pierre-Luc Dubois "is not staying in Winnipeg long-term" and is linked with the Canadiens.

The 24-year-old Dubois has become the Jets number one center. In 49 games this season, he's scored 51 points. He's a pending restricted free agent who is due another $6 million next season in his qualifying offer. At this point, if he's not going to re-sign long term in Winnipeg, Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff may be better off trading Dubois in the offseason to ensure the team gets something for him before he jumps ship to the Habs.
