NHL Rumors: New York Islanders & Canucks Talking Big Trade
The New York Islanders are currently battling it out with other Eastern Conference clubs for a wild card spot. Although they still have playoff hopes, it is apparent that they need a scoring winger to increase their chances of that occurring. As a result, they are one of the teams reportedly making a push for Vancouver Canucks winger Brock Boeser.
The Canucks are set to be sellers this deadline season, as they have had a truly horrendous year. Boeser is just one of the players they are actively shopping, and it makes all the sense in the world that the Islanders are trying to bring him in. After all, he would be a perfect player to pair up with star center Mathew Barzal.
The Islanders will have a lot of competition to successfully acquire Boeser, so we will have to wait and see if they do in fact end up being the lucky club to bring him in from here.
