NHL Rumors: Red Wings Forward Finished in Detroit

According to Frank Seravalli, the relationship between Jakub Vrana and the Detroit Red Wings feels like it is "broken."

Ultimately, this report is not all that surprising to hear. Vrana was recently placed on waivers. Although he went unclaimed, it was certainly a shocking decision by Detroit, as he is a top-six winger while playing at his best. However, even with this being so, Detroit made the gamble to place him on waivers, and he managed to clear them.

Yet, after being placed on waivers, it does seem too likely that Vrana will be thrilled to play for Detroit again. It will be intriguing to see if Vrana ends up being moved from here, but it certainly does not seem too out of the question. If not, maybe a buyout could be in the cards this offseason?
