NHL Rumors: Tampa Bay Lighting Making Trade Offers
The Tampa Bay Lightning are once again a powerhouse in the Eastern Conference and management will be looking to be active ahead of the March 3 trade deadline. According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the hockey insider suggests the Bolts could be looking to add some more depth ahead of the deadline.
Seravalli had this to say in a recent post via Daily Faceoff:
The Lightning are balanced as ever and rounding into form, but they could still use some depth up front to push Pat Maroon down into a fourth line role, and also on the back end, to take some heavy lifting minutes off Victor Hedman’s plate. That would help keep him fresh.
The Lightning appear set to make minor moves that can have big impacts as appose to swinging for the fences on a home-run acquisition. The only issue is what to trade away. Management has already moved the teams first and second-round picks in 2023 and their first rounder in 2024. If the team is going to add before the deadline, it's going to be prospects heading out for veteran help.

Do you trade Foote plus another defender and add someone else back there as a rental? I'd say yes. Sergachev has been streaky, Hedman has regressed. Cernak remains steady, Bogosian is Bogosian. Perbix looks good with Sergachev. I'd argue adding a better LHD rental at TDL
