NHL Rumors: Teams Calling About Vancouver Canucks Forward

The Vancouver Canucks are one of the top teams that fans should be looking out for during the deadline, as they are expected to be major sellers. Captain Bo Horvat is the Canuck picking up the most buzz in the rumor mill, but it appears that another one of their players is also starting to garner trade interest. While on yesterday's TSN Hockey Insider Trading episode, it was reported that teams are calling about Andrei Kuzmenko.

At this time, a decision about Kuzmenko's future in Vancouver has not been decided. It is clear that the Canucks would love to have him back, however, as he has been simply excellent in his first NHL season. However, he is ready to get a significant pay raise because of it, so there's a chance he could play himself out of Vancouver.

Kuzmenko's salary is extremely low this season, so virtually every club could find a way to fit him into their system without any real trouble. Nevertheless, it is clear that he is a player to watch at the deadline from here.
