NHL Rumors: Teams Considering Acquiring Red Wings Forward
According to Frank Seravalli, at least one team is discussing the possibility of trading for Detroit Red Wings forward Jakub Vrana.
The Red Wings made a shocking decision last week when they placed Vrana on waivers. Although the sniper cleared them, it seems likely that his time in Detroit is coming to a close given reports that the relationship between the pair feels "broken" - per Seravalli. Now that Vrana is back to game action in the AHL, teams certainly could decide to make a push for him if he starts heating up.
Vrana was excellent for the Red Wings since his arrival, but he also was sidelined for a significant portion of his tenure there. In 39 games with Detroit, he has 22 goals to go along with 32 points. Let's see if these internal discussions end up leading Vrana to find a new home before the season is over.
