NHL Rumors: Vancouver Canucks Star Linked to Seattle Kraken

NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman recently wrote that he wonders if the Seattle Kraken could make a big push for Vancouver Canucks star Bo Horvat.

Horvat is one of the biggest rental candidates heading into the deadline, and there are already several teams reportedly linked to him. Yet, this is the first time where the Kraken have been brought up as a possible landing spot for him, but it also does make sense for them. The Kraken are having a great season this year, but there’s no question that they also could use a major boost with their forward group to prepare for it. They do not necessarily have that big star on offense, but bringing in Horvat would change that in a heartbeat.

The major obstacle with a Horvat to Seattle deal is that Vancouver and the Kraken are division rivals. As a result, Seattle would likely have to give a pretty big offer for them to even receive consideration from the Canucks for a deal, but let’s see if they can do just that from here.
