NHL Rumors: Winnipeg Jets Targeting Pittsburgh Penguins Forward
The Pittsburgh Penguins are expected to clear out some salary before the trade deadline passes. As a result, Teddy Blueger has been brought up in the rumor mill as of late. According to Frank Seravalli, the Winnipeg Jets could be a perfect fit for the bottom-six center.
The Jets are having a fantastic season, but it is also clear that they could use a bit more depth with their forward group. As a result, Blueger is exactly the kind of trade target that they should be pursuing. He would be a nice addition to their third or fourth line, as he provides decent secondary scoring and excellent defensive play while playing at his best.
Blueger is a pending UFA, so he could be a good short-term addition to the Jets’ roster. We will have to wait and see if Winnipeg ends up making a big push for Blueger at the deadline, but it certainly seems like the kind of move that they should be aiming to complete.
