Ottawa Senators Goalie Suffers Injury
Ottawa Senators goalie Cam Talbot left Wednesday's game against the New York Islanders early with a lower-body injury, and the veteran goalie will be out until after the All-Star break at a minimum, according to Bruce Garrioch.
Cam Talbot won't play before the break begins next Wednesday. Sogaard and Bibeau are both hurt. Mandolese is the only option to recall. Anton Forsberg will make back-to-back starts. #Sens

With the Senators aiming to turn their season around, losing one of their key goaltenders is certainly not ideal in the slightest. Furthermore, if the Senators are unable to get back into the playoff race, the 35-year-old is one of their biggest rental candidates, so this is a losing situation in all ways for the Senators.
We will need to wait and see if this injury takes Talbot out for much longer after the All-Star break from here. In 28 games this season with Ottawa, he has a 12-13-1 record, .905 SV%, and a .290 GAA.
