Panthers Staal Injured After Scary Hit from Canadiens Matheson

Florida Panthers veteran forward Eric Staal had to leave Thursday's game against the Montreal Canadiens after Habs defenseman Mike Matheson delivered what some are calling one of the dirtiest hits of the season.

Both players were chasing down a puck in the Canadiens end, when Matheson decided to deliver a bone-crushing hit to Staal, before the two players even got to the puck in the corner.

Needless to say the Panthers were pissed off as Matthew Tkachuk ended up dropping the gloves with Matheson and two other fights broke out throughout the game.
