Vancouver Canucks to Name New Head Coach
The worst kept secret in the NHL is coming to fruition as the Vancouver Canucks are expected to announce a coaching change in the coming days. Out goes Bruce Boudreau and in comes Rick Tocchet.
There's word that most of Boudreau's staff will also be let go, and Tocchet is in the process of selecting all of his assistants. The former Arizona Coyotes coach was put on the hot seat recently on his TNT broadcast and let's just say things got a touch awkward as Tocchet game his co-hosts the run around.

Along with being the bench boss with the Coyotes for four seasons, running up a 125-131-34 record, he also coached the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 53-69-26 record over almost two seasons. Before that, he spent 18 years in the league as a hard-nosed winger for the Philadelphia Flyers (two stints), Pittsburgh Penguins and Phoenix Coyotes, to name a few.Worst kept secret, but Chris Johnston on Insider Trading reports negotiations have started between the Canucks and Tocchet and he will probably arrive in Vancouver with a couple of additions to his coaching staff. Question of when, not if Tocchet is the Canucks next head coach.
