Winnipeg Jets Make Big Decision With Top Prospect
According to Jeff Marek, the Winnipeg Jets are set to loan top prospect Brad Lambert to the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL.
Lambert participated in the World Junior Championship for Finland, where he has one goal in five contests. In 14 games with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL, he has two goals and three points in 14 games. Yet, now he is set to join the Thunderbirds and should be a major contributor for them down the stretch.
Ultimately, it makes sense that the Jets have decided to send Lambert to the WHL. With the Thunderbirds, Lambert should have no trouble producing a lot against weaker competition. We will have to wait and see how he responds to this loan and how Seattle benefits from it. It seems like it can be a winning situation for all parties.
