3 Players Placed on Waivers

The NHL announced it's waiver wire action for Wednesday February 22, 2023 and three players have been placed on waivers. Joey Anderson of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chris Tierney of the Florida Panthers and Justin Kirkland of the Anaheim Ducks.

The 24-year-old Anderson has appeared in 14 games with the Leafs this season, scoring twice. Kirkland is a 26-year-old pending free agent versatile winger who hasn't recorded a point in seven games this season with the Ducks.

Tierney is in his first season with the Panthers after spending four seasons with the Ottawa Senators. The veteran center has collected just three points in 13 games so far in 2022-23. His career high came back in 2018-19 as a member of the Sens when he put up 48 points in 81 games. Tierney signed a one-year $750,000 deal with the Panthers.
