3 Potential Trade Destinations for Coyotes Nick Bjugstad
The Arizona Coyotes are listening to trade offers on all of their pending free agents and just about everyone else not named Clayton Keller. Expect to see general manager Bill Armstrong pull the trigger on several deals before the deadline this season and one player who is garnering a ton of interest is forward Nick Bjugstad. Here's a few potential trade destinations for the towering forward:
Boston Bruins
The Bruins aren't expected to make any drastic changes but they are expected to add a couple of pieces before the deadline. Bjugstad would give them a big body for the wing on their third line and someone who can move around the lineup if need be. His versatility is one of his strengths and Bjugstad is someone the Bruins can afford at only $900,000 against the cap.
Tampa Bay Lightning
Another team looking for depth upgrades, the Lightning like to assemble elite third lines at the trade deadline and this season will be no different. Bjugstad is having a bounce back season in Arizona and has been doing it all for the Coyotes on special teams. The 6-foot-6 forward has recorded 21 points in 50 games in the desert this season and could likely be acquired by the Lightning for a mid-level prospect or draft pick.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers are trying to add before the deadline and have their eyes set on their third line and top-four defense. Bjugstad would check off one of the boxes and with his ability to also play down the middle, it could be very attractive for the Oilers who need more lineup flexibility. Edmonton will be a major suitor in the sweepstakes leading up to March 3.
